One of the original Pontiac Trans Ams from Knight Rider is up for auction on ebay. This was a favorite show of mine as a kid in the 80′s and I always loved the car. Too bad this one won’t talk back at you when your driving though. The current bid is at 30,200 and it still has another day left. The auction has many more pictures to salivate over. Update: Sold for $53,000
Yesterday I saw a post on KSL about a Yard Sale. It mentioned having some Star Wars stuff from the 70′s and 80′s and a few other toy lines. They said they had planned to do an ebay business but it got to the point that they wanted everything gone. Sarah and I dragged ourselves out of bed, so we could be there at 8:00 this morning when the sale started. I was expected to just find a bunch of well played with beat up figures, but instead it was mostly ships. There was one bin full which I asked how much and they replied $3.00. I looked at the Millennium Falcon since I needed a few parts for mine and everything looked great. I decided I couldn’t go wrong for $3.00 so I decided to buy that bin. There was another bin with a few more things and a couple of figures. I was hoping to find a few Stormtroopers to add to my army, but only managed to find one Imperial Guard. It was on 50 cents for the figure. I also found a Revenge of the Jedi patch and a Kenner toy booklet. For those that don’t know Return of the Jedi was original titles Revenge, but a few months before the movie was released George Lucas decided Jedi do not take revenge and changed the title. However, a few items were released with the Revenge logo. I have a button with the Revenge logo that I picked up at a garage sale in Vegas and now the patch. I already have a lot of the vehicles already, so I plan to sell a few of them on ebay to make some extra money to go towards another coin or two for my frame. It was a fun morning. You don’t see vintage Star Wars at yard sales any more like you used to in the late 80′s and early 90′s, so it was exciting to pick some stuff up in person and not over the internet.
Another trailer has been released for Clone Wars. I am really looking forward to this in August. I still can’t believe it is getting a theatrical release. The actual voice cast hasn’t been revealed yet, but Count Dooku sure sounds a lot like Christopher Lee. It would be great if they got many of the original actors to play their parts. It is still weird to see the WB logo instead of 20th Century Fox.

Today Steve Jobs announced the new iPhone. It comes with the same storage as the previous models, but now includes 3G network support, and built in GPS. Also, it has a new much more affordable price. $199 for the 8 gig and $299 for the 16 gig. I plan on getting one I just need to find someone willing to take over my Sprint contract or wait until October when it expires. I might try one of those websites that help sell your contract and see how it works. The new iPhone will be available July 11th, so I have about a month to see what I can do.

Dr. Paul Trombley, M.D. another fellow rebelscum.com member recently posted about some new pictures of his collection. Unfortunately the new pictures haven’t been posted yet, but another member posted a link to some of the older pictures. I must say I really like his collection room. Obviously being a doctor he is able to put more money into his display, but I hope someday that I am able to have something similar. Below are the two pictures I thought were the most impressive. More though can be seen at megocentral.com. I’ll update once the new pictures are available.
