Pretty Much A Wrap
Saturday we finished filming the final scene for our movie project this semester. We still have a couple of pick up shots left which should take less than an hour to finish this Saturday. I have pretty much a rough cut finished. I am just doing some tweaks. Then I will start to work on the sound and color correction. Once I am finished I will upload my final edit. I have learned quite a bit about lighting with this project. Some of our footage turned out very dark even though there seemed to be enough light hitting the camera. After those scene I have been adding a lot more light and it seems to be doing the trick. I can’t believe this semester is almost over. It is going to be a pretty crazy next few weeks.
Barricade Spotted
This pic was posted over at comingsoon.net. Apparently several cars sporting the deco of Barricade have shown up in Culver City, California. Could Transformers 2 be filming already? The last rumor was the script was still being tweaked and filming would start over the summer. I guess it is possible that they are going at it already though to try and make the release date for next year. 
Captain Rex Mail-away
Today I finally sent out for my Captain Rex Clone Wars figure. The figure is the mail away promotion this year. There aren’t a whole lot of figures I want so far this year so I actually bought the form and required proofs of purchase from ebay instead of buying figures I don’t want. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love these mail away figures. There is just something nostalgic about sending away for these and waiting a couple of months for it to arrive. New Macbook Pro
Well today I got a new laptop. My partner in my video class decided that he need a machine that could handle Final Cut Pro. He didn’t want to spend a whole lot of money. He was originally looking at a white macbook, but they have integrated graphics, so some of the program in the Final Cut Studio do not run very well with them. I decided to offer him my old machine if he was interested. He was actually pretty excited about the idea and got approval from his wife. It will probably take me a month or two to pay of the difference but that isn’t too bad. I can’t believe that my old one is two years old already. It seems like yesterday I got it and the whole thing was going on to try and get Windows on the new intel macs. Anyway here are the specs of my new machine:
Lost Boys: The Tribe Trailer
Today the first trailer for Lost Boys: The Tribe was released. I have always been a fan of the first movie. The first time I watched it I was a little young, so my brother told me when the gory parts came up to cover my eyes. The sequel is most likely going to be a direct to DVD release although there is an online petition to have it shown theatrical. After having just watched the first trailer it looks like the basic story is just a rehash of the original movie, but I still want to see it. Corey Feldman is obviously back in this one and it has been said Corey Heim would be as well, but he is nowhere in the trailer. I’m wondering if it is just a cameo or something like that. I will still see it the day it is released.
