For those that regularly read the site they know I am constantly messing around with how I display my collection. A few weeks ago, I was at one of my friends homes, who has also caught my collecting bug. He was showing me his collection room and I saw that with his Transformers he had hung shelves on the wall. I thought it was a really neat display idea. All he did was buy one of those Wal-Mart medai towers and mounted the shelves to the wall with brackets. I liked the idea so much that I wanted to give it a go. It took a lot longer than I thought it would, but also involved about 3 trips to Lowes to get the right screws. Needless to say I am really happy with how it turned out. I recently sold the big media center that I was using since I had no need anymore for it and it also helped offset some of the cost. Now I just need to find some boxes to store my boxes in
. Here i s a before and then after photo. Now onto the homework I should have been doing.

I think I just had the fastest shipping of an order ever. I finally got the rest of my grant money, so I ordered some accessories for my video camera. I am getting a water proof case, Rode Video Mic, Rails, and a lens support for my DOF adapter. This was my first time purchasing from B&H, but I have always heard good things about them from message boards and some of the professors here at UVSC. Needless to say I placed my order around noon time and at 2:44 received an email saying my order had shipped with UPS tracking numbers. I should have my order Monday or Tuesday. I figured it would at least be tomorrow at the earliest.
Here is a link to their website. So far I highly recommend them. A lot of their items even have free shipping.

At CES godaddy was kind enough to offer me a free domain name. It seemed like all the names I could come up with were taken. I finally wanted to get a domain for my Star Wars site though. I then thought about powerofthetoys.com which is a throw back to the last series of figures from 1985 which were called Power of the Force. Surprisingly the name was available, so I scooped it up. It also seemed like a good time to do a redesign of the site. I “borrowed” the design from another site, but all the graphics I created on my own. All the links should be working now, but I still have a little tweaking to do. Feel free to check it out.www.powerofthetoys.com
