Macbook Pro Update

Here is the latest update I received from the seller for my Macbook Pro:

“We are all at the mercy of Apple; but should start seeing shipments within the next 5-7 BUSINESS DAYS. We will issue a refund of the shipping costs you paid if your
order does not ship within 30 days after payment was made. Your order will ship via a complimentary upgrade to UPS OVERNIGHT AIR.”

Hopefully that means I should have it in another week. At least I will get a refund on my shipping if it is later than that. I paid for my order on Feb. 4th. It has been difficult not having a laptop now for over a month now. Continue reading →

Google Ads

Last night I added some links to google. At the top of the page are google ads, but they are text ads just like you would get when searching at google. The other addition is a google search option at the bottom of the page. It can be used to search this site or on the web. Continue reading →

Thank You Skype for the Computer

Today Sarah and I came home from work and there was a big box on our doorstep with DELL written on it. We opened it up and it was a desktop computer from the Skype contest we entered at CES 2006. I couldn’t believe it. The computer has a 3.2GHZ processor, 1GB Ram, 160gig Hard drive and lots of other goodies. We haven’t decided yet what we are going to do with it. Maybe sell it. Anyway it has been a great year for us with the Xbox 360 from Mountain Dew and now a Computer from Skype. Continue reading →

Free upgrade on Macbook

Today Apple posted a new Press release. They are bumping up the 1.67 GHZ model to 1.83GHZ and the 1.83GHZ model to 2.0GHZ, so now I am getting a 1.83GHZ Core Duo Chip. The press release can be read at http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2006/feb/14macbookpro.html
